1. Who we are

Boss Babe Duchess is the personal brand of Rayleen Badenhorst, working online and by booked consultation across South Africa, the USA, the UK and Europe. We are the “responsible party” for personal information collected through bossbabeduchess.com, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

2. What we collect

• Information you give us when you email us or enquire about a project: your name, email address, phone number, business details and project information.
• Payment information needed to process payments (we do not store card details; payments are handled by the payment provider).
• Technical information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, through our hosting provider and any analytics tools.
• Information from third-party platforms when you interact with our embedded content (for example YouTube videos).

3. Why we use it

• To reply to enquiries and provide our services.
• To send quotes, invoices and project updates.
• To send newsletters or community updates, only if you asked to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To improve and secure the Website.
• To meet legal and tax obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process personal information with your consent, to perform a contract with you, to comply with the law, or for our legitimate interests, as allowed under section 11 of POPIA.

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us run our business (such as hosting, email and payment providers), when required by law, or with your consent. Some providers may store information outside South Africa; where this happens we take steps to make sure it is adequately protected, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

The Website and embedded content from YouTube, Instagram, Google Fonts and similar services may use cookies or collect technical data. We use privacy-enhanced YouTube embeds where possible. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law (for example, financial records).

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

9. Your rights

10. Children

The Website is not aimed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
